okanagan mountain and divide lake.

Canada day we decided to hike up the mountain goat trail, into okanagan mountain park and spend the night at divide lake. i may have promised an easy 2-3 hour hike. i was right about the 2-3 hours. not about the easy. it's called the mountain goat trail for a reason. that is was 38 degrees in a burnt out mountain didn't keep us cool at all.

Louie kindly shuttled us up to the top, where the 5 (4 people and a bronx) started up.  and up. and up.

The whole mountain was burned out in 2003, and it's only now starting to get anything over a foot or two.

the skys were very blue, and i wore a lot of sunscreen.  we all did. not one sunburn among us.

When we got to the top we stopped.  set up a little camp, collected some firewood and just sat around.  no climbing.  we had a great diner, some beverages of an adult nature and went to sleep.  a very good sleep.

in the morning we headed down and louie was waiting for us.  thanks a ton louie.  and thanks to sam for most of these pictures.
