little white adventure time

Got a weekend and a mountain to climb?  heck ya.  Friday night finished in the bush with tom and brian and kris and i.  saturday morning i opened my tent to this, the east ridge of little white.

we were camped at canyon lakes, and the highlands trail went very close byu, which is why we camped there.

The next morning we were on the trail.  it was a climb for sure.

We stopped on a ridge overlooking the lake we camped at (on the far shore) and called phil, he was maybe going to meet us.  turns out, he was already climbing as was ahead of us.  crazy times.  we met up with him later.

Finally we were getting somewhere.  we could see the top.

We had a celebratory beverage and chilled out for a bit.  The views went from the cathedrals in the south to the monashees in the north.  pretty awesome.

There was a little pond at the top we got water from.  thanks MSR for not letting us poop and hurl from bad water.

Our camp was sheltered a bit and we had a fire agaisnt a rock, a bit out of the wind.  as usual we ate like kings.

In the morning there was this crazy porsche brapping around.  i got this picture before it burned away.

We headed down under sunburning sky.  great views all around and up and down.

What a sweet time.  so awesome.  also, possibly the highest elevation we've camped at.
